Interrupt Hon Julius Malema? You must be crazy, or BBC’s Fisher

... or (even better) ... "Malema Vs. BBC" ...

Posted Monday, April 12 2010 at 00:00

When in Rome, do as Romans do. But when in Africa, you better do as Julius Malema wishes.

So BBC journalist, Jonah Fisher, found out this week when he attended a press conference called by the racist president of the youth wing of South Africa's ruling African National Congress.

Malema, who had just returned from Zimbabwe, was in the middle of an ode to Robert Mugabe when Fisher interrupted him.

"Here you behave or else you jump," growled a visibly upset Malema.

When Fisher found that comment particularly funny, Malema exploded.

Ordering a security guard to throw Fisher out, he shouted: "Don't come here with that white tendency… You are a small boy, you can't do anything…Go out. Go out. Bastard! Go out. You bloody agent!"

Don't touch me on my studio, don't you
...

Not to be outdone, Malema's fellow bigot, Andre Visagie, secretary-general of the right-wing AWB, the party of slain white supremacist Eugene Terre'blanche, lost his cool when he was not allowed to respond to a question about the abuse of farm workers in South Africa.

Visagie and political analyst Lebohang Pheko were discussing race relations in the aftermath of Terre'Blanche's murder.

After telling Pheko not to interrupt him, Visagie ripped off his microphone and stormed off the set, only to return moments later, saying: "I'm not finished with you, you don't interrupting me (sic)."

Anchor Chris Maroleng was forced to intervene telling Visagie: "Don't touch me on my studio, don't you dare touch me on my studio," to which the latter responded: "I'll touch you on your studio." ... (!!)
