Rupiah teases State House monkey
President Rupiah Banda this morning teased the State House monkey which he jokingly identified as the one that urinated on him during the press conference last month. This was during a photo session after he swore-in the new community development deputy minister Moses Muteteka and Principal Private Secretary to the President, Eddie Mwanza.

As President Banda walked outside the State House building to join the new appointees for a photo session, he looked up and said while pointing into the trees: "That monkey is still there, it wants me to stand near the tree, I will not do that," he said before laughing off with journalists who were covering the event.

Earlier President Banda urged his new principal private secretary Eddie Mwanza to help build the image of State House.

"All the people I have consulted have nothing but good words about you and your hard work… Make the image of this State House continue to be a home, a State House for the people of Zambia," he said.
